About our program...
******* If your runner will be 6, 7, or 8 years old as of December 31 of the current year, visit the Randolph Track Clinic website for all information! *******
General Information
The Randolph Youth Track & Field team is a member of the Lakeland Youth Track & Field League, which is comprised of about 16 other teams from Morris County. Track meets are held during April, May, and June at the track of the host team. Runners compete with others in their age group. Eligible participants must be between the ages of 9 and 15 on December 31 and must not yet be in high school.
Runners run with others in the same age group. An athlete's age group is determined by the age the athlete will be on December 31st of the current year. For example, if a runner is 10 years old during the spring track season and has a birthday of November 1st, his age group is 11-12 because he will turn 11 this year.
All runners must decide whether they will be competing in the distance events or the sprint events for the season. First-year participants may try both practices in the first weeks but must commit to a group after the first meet.
Runners must attend at least one practice during the week in order to participate in that week's meet.
Registration
Registration is managed by Randolph Parks and Recreation. You may register in person, or by using the online registration site.
Communication
Practice time changes, cancellations of practices or meets, and other announcements will all be made via TeamSnap. The coaches will make every effort to communicate any changes as far in advance as possible, but it is recommended that you check your email to make sure you have the latest information, especially when the weather is questionable. Please don't email coaches regarding the status of a practice or meet. If there is no cancellation message within 15 minutes of the start time of an event, then the event is not cancelled.
